To celebrate a century of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, veteran pronouncer Jacques Bailly selected and pronounced 10 winning words from the competition for The Washington Post. I illustrated custom assets for the resulting quiz, including a bee avatar of Bailly functional buttons and a hive of characters for the quiz results.
